William F. "Bill" Kaiser was born in Paterson, New Jersey on June 12, 1927.
Bill was with the U.S. Army Military Police 1944-1945, and earned a Bachelor of Arts, Journalism-Advertising,
University of Wisconsin in1949.
Bill's writing life began as a reporter for the Newark Evening News in Newark, NJ, from 1949 tp
1951. He then worked in Public Relations & Advertising for various aviation manufacturing companies from 1951
to 1963.

He rose to Vice President of American Aviation Publications, Washington, DC, from 1963 to1967.
He changed jobs to Vice President Public Relations for Butler Aviation from 1967 to 1970.
Bill became the Editorial Director for Meetings & Expositions Magazine, New York City
& Morristown, NJ, from 1970 to1977 then Publisher from 1977 to1980. He served as President & Owner of WFK
& Associates, Morristown, NJ from 1980 to1895 and served as founder and editorial director of Herald News Papers,
Fairfield, NJ from 1980 to1982.
Bill served as Vice President Administrations, Roux Graphics, Chatham, NJ, from 1982 to1985.
Vice President Administration, Exposition Satellite TV & Shipboard Satellite Network, Northfield, NJ and New York City,
1985-1990; president & CEO 1990-1992.
He retired in 1992 and relocated to Boone, NC. He writes a Community News column for
The Watauga Democrat newspaper and serves as a Volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Medical First Responder. He serves on several
Watauga County committees from1993 to the present.
Bill was President of High Country Writers 2001- 2003; President Pro Tem, August 2005 to
December 2005. He served as Vice President from 1999 to 2001.
Bill also currently writes the weekly Triplett community news column that appears in the WATAUGA
DEMOCRAT every Wednesday.
